When are approvals coming to next gen projects?

Under Project settings/advanced - it has been saying "coming soon" since I have signed up, and created a next-gen project.

I would really like to use approvals - and (maybe incorrectly) assumed when I started that "soon" - was .... soon.  Is there an ETA for that functionality?

As @Michael Andolfatto mentioned, approvals is on the next-gen roadmap.

We’re actually working hard on it as we speak, so stay tuned and we will let you know once it ships, which will be soon.

We are also in the process of improving how we communicate and group next-gen information on the community, so watch this space. 

In the meantime, I’d love to hear how your experience with next-gen is going as well as how you plan on using approvals within your organization.

Thank you for the response - I need to build (audit-able) change management processes approvals is a key piece of that process.

I'm Rachel and I'm a Product Manager in Jira Service Desk Cloud. I'm super excited to let you know that approvals has been rolled out in next-gen projects, as announced in our community post! 

You can now add approvals in your workflows, assign approvers and transition workflows automatically when the request is approved or rejected. 

We’d love for you to check it out, add approvals to your workflows and let us know what you think.

• To set one up, head to Project settings > Request types, and click the Edit workflow button at the top.

• Select a status, and in the sidebar on the right hand side you should see an Approvals section, where you can add a new approval to that status.
