Hi community,
We’ve noticed that some users are encountering the following error when trying to update the Sprint field in Jira:
"We couldn’t update the Sprint value. You can try again in a few minutes, or refresh the page."
These users already have the “Manage Sprint” permission, yet this issue persists for them, while others with admin level permission don’t face this error. But if users have the manage sprint permission they should be able to edit the sprint field as like others.
✅ Permissions have been double-checked.
❌ No obvious network or session issues.
Has anyone experienced this? What could be causing this for only a subset of users?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Ayush Pathak - One other permission you may want to check is the Schedule Issues permission for the projects that are part of the board. I have seen this in the past solve some issues with Sprints not being updated.
Hi @Ayush Pathak It could be due to the scheduled maintenance. https://jira-software.status.atlassian.com/

Hello @Ayush Pathak
Have you checked if the Sprint field is part of your edit issue screen of your project?
