Why is the pie chart counting the same type twice?

I have a change type that appears two times in the pie chart with two different numbers. Ex: Type A 25 count and Type A 24 count. This is happening for two types particularly. I have looked into the JQL and its exactly the same and provides the exact results if I click for details but in pie its seen as two different types with two different counts. Any ideas of what might be going on?

Welcome to the community.  Can you advise on how you have configured the Pie Chart gadget?  Are you also saying that if you executed the JQLs the returning result(s) count are the same, but the Pie Chart is showing otherwise?

Lastly, are you using the Pie Chart gadget out of the box from Atlassian?  Or, it is a different gadget provided by third party vendor via add-ons?

Hi Joseph,  It's coming out of the box from Atlassian. When I click on it it takes me to the tickets and you can see the exact same JQL at the top. Asking around it might have to do with the context and default settings in jira for this one since the gadget is not really one I can create or modify
