Hi everyone, may I ask if Jira Asset Management can help in the Education industry or just the IT section only?
Hi @Emily _ DevSamurai ,
welcome to the community and thanks for your question.
In general, Assets can be used in different contexts and the limits are pretty much endless.
Asset management itself refers to the practice of tracking, maintaining, and maximizing the value of assets within an organization.
This means, assets can include physical assets such as equipment, machinery, and vehicles, as well as intangible assets like intellectual property, software licenses, and contracts.
So there sure will be a valid use case for Asset Management in the Education industry.
A quick example could be a database of training providers connected to trainers and the courses they teach.
Hope this helps :)

@Kai Becker you mentoined "within an organization". Do you know any application of JSM with assets on external customers/organizations.
For example, where I can manage priced licenced on the "Organizations" in JSM?

Hi @Adrian Arm
Not sure if you are looking for this but AssetIT is also worth a try in terms of managing licenses. You can check it out at AssetIT's website or via Atlassian Marketplace.
