Receive email requests by people without an account - but for limited domains

Everyone that had an account in our previous ticketing system will receive a new account. But to make sure we do not miss any email requests from people that do not have an account yet, we would like to make sure that Jira is set up in this way.

We would limit the ones that could create a request by limiting these to only domains of our offices.

How would I do this?

I checked https://acnhelpdesk.atlassian.net/jira/settings/products/servicedesk/customer-access but this does not seem to fit our needs.

Is there a setting that I might me forgetting or did not select correctly?

Hey @Valerie Vliegen

You're on the right track. To configure it so anyone can create an account by visiting the portal or emailing AND limit it to specific domains you need to configure that page you found to.

Internal

  • ✅ Use approved domains to grant access to the help center with Atlassian accounts
    • You'll need this for users that use Trello or their own Jira's to access with the same account

External

  • ✅ Allow portal-only accounts to be created for new custoemrs accessing the help center
  • ✅ Only allow account4 creation for customers with specific email domains
    • Add all domains you want to allow

Portal Access

  • ✅ Allow customers to create accounts

Hi Jovin, I have copied your settings and tried this twice with email domains that were added, but it seems tickets are not being created.

Is there something that I am missing?
