Required question adds additional questions

How can I create a required question that if given a specific answer (from a drop down) would then pop up with an additional question.

example question:  What is the account type?

answers in dropdown:  Lending or Deposit

If they select lending, then an additional question would appear that says closing date.  But if they select deposit, the new question (closing date) would not appear.

Hi @Katherine Stevens (from another Kate here!)...

Yes, Kate is correct as you will need to use an app.  There are a couple of options like what has been suggested but you can also take a look at ProForma Lite  - it is an integrated form builder within Jira and also does conditional logic/ dynamic fields. There is a free version (up to 3 forms) and a paid version.

Hi,

There is no native functionality. You can use our app Extension for Jira Service Desk which offers Dynamic Fields feature. It allows to create dynamic forms by presenting fields depending on the selection from previous field. I recommend to try if it meets your requirements. In case of any questions, let me know!
