Is it possible to change the way the search is working in Jira Service Management?
Users would like to have a "deeper search".
The use case would be if someone wanted to search for all the issues that had a specific person as a reporter, they would want to be able to enter the reporter's name quickly and see relevant results. It seems the search bar does not include the reporter field as something that is searched against at the moment.
Asking this with the awareness that basic search and JQL allow you to specify the reporter field, but looking for a quicker solution than this from a customer's standpoint.
Hi @Ashley , you were basically asking for JQL search capabilities in the menu search bar. Unfortunately, as you understand, that does not exist today. I actually inquired about that many years ago when the search bar was introduced. Unfortunately I don't know of any plans for that to be introduced. However, feel free to use the feedback link within the application to share your thoughts with Atlassian.
