Sequential Approval Automation

I'm tasked with creating an automation that involves the sequential approval of requests. The process should ensure that if Person A approves, the approval task is then passed on to Person B. Crucially, both Person A and Person B should not have the ability to provide their approvals simultaneously. The workflow mandates that Person A approves first, with Person B subsequently providing their approval. I'm seeking guidance on implementing this sequential approval process.

This should be set in the workflow.

You would need 2 Custom user fields, 1 for both approvers.

Use the 1st field on the approval status A and the 2nd on approval state B.

On positive approval or status A, the issue should be transitioned to approval state B.

If this is not the case in your workflow, please show your current config.

Automation rules act upon triggers, based on an action.
