Hey Guys,
Just wanted to understand 100% the permission point of view when you link a confluence space to a service management project, I have a space with permissions in place based on AD group and there is a group with view only and another with view/edit respectively.
Side note there are restrictions on each and every page done by the users.
When it comes to connect this space to a service project would the permission based upon the confluence still apply or would people in the service desk take over with the service project permission? for some reason I got a bit confused about this.
Cheers Aaron
Hi @Aaron Micallef ,
If a user is restricted from a Confluence page, they won't be able to access it even if they have broader access through Jira Service Management.
Hope this answers your question.
Regards,
Mayuresh
thanks for this answer so basically it is up to the confluence space permission and restrictions. that is what we wanted, because there are pages that users should not have permission too.
