Setup required fields in Service Desk email channel

How to capture department of the reporter/customer when they submit requests through email in Service desk project.

HI Radhika,

Its not straight forward, and OOTB, I do not believe it is acheivable. 

We achieve this using Assets, and creating a People schema of the organisation.

You do need to link the Atlassian ID to the schema, so that you know that Person X, in your organisation, has an Atlassian ID of Y.

YOu can then create a custom field to read the asset where the Atlassian ID = {reporter}

Not straight forward, but it is achievable.
