Hi everyone,
I have an Insight field referring to an object type "Customer". Those object have a customer ID as their unique identifier + their respective name.
My plan:
When a customer opens a ticket, they should enter their customer ID in that field to identify themselves.
My problem:
When the customer starts typing their ID, they will see all other customers with their IDs + names. But they should not see those.
What is the best way for customers to enter their IDs and have that respective Insight object set in the issue?
Thanks in advance!
Hello @Kevin Lukas Wagner
You can add text custom field for customer to enter his ID and than make automation rule to run when you create issue, that automation should take id from that custom field and populate Insight field.
Here you can see how to do it.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,

Hi Marko,
thank you already for your help.
I will most probably create a Jira Automation.
The article you have included in your answer only affects Jira Cloud (I am on DC).
Still, I have tried but it does not work.
Kind Regards
Kevin
