I created an automated rule that runs daily at 6p to transition any issue in resolved/canceled to closed automatically.
I am in a company-managed project, and I have tried the following to disable these:
Customers and Agents are still receiving emails when the automation runs at 6pm. What am I missing?
I would first off, double check all your automation steps don't have a tick box for send email about this automation rule. This has caught me out a few times.
Secondly, On your workflow, for your transition from Resolved to Closed, look at the Post Functions and ensure you are Firing the "Issue Closed" notification (which links back to your first dot point about removing reporter from the Issue Closed Notification Scheme).
