This function used to work within OpsGenie but seems to be missing (or removed) from JSM. Is that by design? Is there another way to subscribe to JSM schedules?
We use these so that it shows up in outlook (not everyone wants / needs to log into JSM to see schedules / rotas)
Thanks
NOTE: this is how we used to do it
Hi @Paul Swartout , welcome to the Community!
It seems this functionality is still available, but in a different spot. I was able to download an ICS file for a support calendar by doing the following:
Once you have that ics file, you should be able to upload it to Outlook as a shared calendar. I'm not as proficient with the Outlook side of things though, so I don't have step-by-step instructions for that process.
Hope this helps!
Robert
Thanks @Robert DaSilva that's good for exporting the schedule as a one off, it doesn't (as far as I know) pick up any changes when applied (which the old OpsGenie method did).
As per https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/import-or-subscribe-to-a-calendar-in-outlook-com-or-outlook-on-the-web-cff1429c-5af6-41ec-a5b4-74f2c278e98c It states ..
When you import an .ics file, you get a snapshot of the events in the calendar at the time of import. Your calendar doesn't refresh the imported events automatically -- even if the calendar's owner makes an update. This is a good way to add events to your existing calendar that aren't going to change, like tide tables or phases of the moon.
Subscribing to an online calendar connects it to your calendar. Whenever the owner of a calendar you've subscribed to makes changes to the events, Outlook.com updates your calendar. This is a good way to track events that change frequently, like movie times or a school calendar.
What you propose is option 1 .. whereas OpsGenie provided option 2 (which is what I need) but I cannot find this in JSM

Hey @Paul Swartout , it seems the feature you're asking for is currently in progress, according to the public bug tracking portal Atlassian runs: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-14751
I would recommend giving that page a watch, you should be notified as updates are made. Regardless, looks like this functionality will soon be available.
Cheers,
Robert
