Hi,
I'm trying to view which automations operate on a specific type of work item. To do this, I go to the admin settings and select Global automation. In the audit log, I enter the issue key to filter the results, but the logs don't seem to make sense. Every time I enter a new issue key and return, I see different logs, and the information seems inconsistent.
Additionally, the scopes shown in the logs don't match the initial scope of the work item. Sometimes, the automation appears to have run on a completely unrelated issue.
My main goal is to document how each automation works, so we can optimize our processes in the future. It's already challenging to gather this information, and I was hoping the global automation log filter would make this task easier.
Am I the only one experiencing this issue? Or is there something I might have missed in the setup?
Thanks for your help!
Hi @Baudoin Guiot Desvarenne -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I am seeing the same symptom, and so I wonder if the recent updates to audit logs have bent / broken something. The only open, related audit log defects I see in the public backlog for this are for the recent changes to add Advanced Component features.
As you are on a paid license, I recommend working with your Jira Site Admin to submit a ticket to Atlassian Support here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
When you hear back from them, please post what you learn to benefit the community. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi Baudoin - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Not sure you will be able to see much of that information through the global audit log.
I know it is tedious and time consuming, but you are probably better off getting a start on it manually by opening each rule and capturing the data somewhere. And while you are in there, add as much detail as you can in the Description because you can search on that as well.
