Transfer the customers to the customer portal

I have successfully linked the customer portal to my website. Now I have a question about my existing customers who have already registered on my website. Do they all have to register again in the customer portal or can I transfer the customers to the customer portal? If yes how ? You should be able to continue using the passwords you have already created.

What exactly is "your website"? Is this also the Jira portal or are/were they licensed users or is this a custom non-Atlassian related website?

That has been taken care of for the time being because we now want to automatically import the tickets from this website with the customers into Jira via an interface.
It's a custom non-Atlassian related website.
Is there a guide for this?
