Hello Team...It seems that "Organization" and "Organizations" are based on the project type (either company or group)...is this correct? "Organizations" appears as a custom field that Jira controls... Is there a way for all projects to use Organization...this has an impact on reporting...please advise thank you
Hello,
The "Organizations" field is the same for both projects, team and company. I've already checked it. If you create a new organization under Project settings > Customers in the team-managed project, you can use it also in the company-managed project. It's due to fact that Organizations are saved globally. Organizations from both type of projects are available in one field.
The only limitation is that you can't sort by the Organizations field. You can vote on the feature request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4548
Please notice that the Organizations field is applicable only to service projects.
You also mentioned "Organization". Could you add some details?
Organizations is a specific field associated with JSM projects. I believe but I'm not 100% sure that this feature only exist in Company managed projects not Team managed projects. I have never really used TMP within JSM. Regardless, organizations has some specific features that are important to JSM projects. Is your question about how to get organizations applied under TMP? I will need to look at the documentation a bit to understand if that field applies here.

ah i see. That certainly makes things more challenging. I wonder if somehow you could leverage labels. You certainly can't have organizations going between CMP and TMP. Again I don't even think it exists for TMP but you would know better than I. :-)
