I am using the Asset Discovery software and importing the data into Jira Cloud. During the import process, new object types are being created automatically, even though they are not defined in the XML file (Pattern is bare minimum). I only need the data from the XML and want it to be inserted into my already defined object types, without Jira creating new ones.
Has anyone experienced this issue or knows why Jira Cloud creates these default object types during import?

Hi @Tim_Borgardt ,
Welcome to Atlassian community and thank you for your question.
Those objects type (Discovery, Scan Settings, Scan information, Collector) contain audit info related the scans operation of your assets. they could be useful in order to have more info about assets, like the time when the assets has been scanned, if all the scan were sucessfully and so on.
Are not very important, but they could be useful.
If you want them, you could disable the import in the following way:
Please flag as correct reply if it has been useful.
Kind regards
Yes, I know that you can disable them under the import settings, but only after they have already been created. During the initial import, however, these object types are created automatically. I don’t want them to appear in the import at all, so that they do not show up in the schema (as seen in the first screenshot). I want to use my own list of assets without automatically created object types.
To me, this seems more like a bug than a setting, since I am asked whether I want to import object types when creating the import to the cloud (see second screenshot). Why are they created when there is no data in the XML?
