User Can't be assigned cases / issues

Good day,

Trying to assign a case / issue to a user fails with the following error -

The 'assignee' field of CDMSON-2 could not be updated. User 'qm:aa8431d9-a7ba-4050-adb8-e673525097e6:f0325c3f-202b-4c96-a3a3-a1ecd9fa54e2' cannot be assigned issues.

Anyone know why a particular user can't be assigned issues?

The user you are trying to assign has a JSM license??

Hi @IT ,

User should be part of Assignable user permission of the project. 

i.e. Go to Project settings --> Permissions --> Check what Users/Groups/Project Roles are mapped to Assignable User permission.
Make sure the required user is part of those Groups / Project Roles
