Using JSM for our newly onboarded Customer and their Access

Hi Community

I have a few questions Please reply all in-line for me, Thanks in advance :

I have spun up JSM to be used for our new customer. My questions are

  1. in order for the customers to be able to access and raise tickets/incidents/requests from my JSM portal, do I have to invite them within my Project JSM as a Customer first ? I presume yes, cause I have disabled the ability for them to sign up themselves. Please confirm ?
  2. once a customer or an organization that consists of some customers have been linked to my JSM Project, will they be able to explore my other "internal" Jira and JSM Projects outside that one or no ?

Thanks

Hi Rama, it's easiest if you send them an invite, so they're ahead of the game.  Sometimes I end up creating them as a customer before they get a chance, that would work as well.

Yes, once a customer is setup as a customer with a portal account, they will NOT have access to any of your other internal projects.

Hope that helps
