i want to automate a workflow. that when the incident is created it should check a value from a checkbox. and if one of 2 is checked it should go to "waiting for approval" otherwise it should go to "waiting for support" this should run automaticly. is there any option to automate this without doing an automation for that ? .
the checkbox has 4 values but only for option 1 and 2 it should go to approval. if none of those 2 are checked it should go to waiting for support.

There is no direct way to transition issues in jira. It should be from automation rule or any scripts (plugins) which should do the action.

The only ways to transition an issue automatically are by using Automation or by adding a post function to the transition.
