We are starting to build forms for our Finance Department and often we create a user pick field for the submitter to select who the form is for. Sometimes this field is linked, sometimes not. This is specifically for assistants putting in forms for their boss. For ease, we will call this the "subject" field.
The question that was asked of me today was, if the user selected in the subject field was terminated and their account was deleted (as is our standard process), will their name also be erased from the form or will something else happen?
@David Quiram Welcome to the Atlassian community
When a user leaves your company you have a couple of options on what to do with their account. You can either remove or suspend their account from a site.
If you are an organization admin you can deactivate or delete. This is what you should be doing if an individual is terminated. If you deactivate it the account name will still show up in the history but will not be selectable anymore. If you deleted the account they show up just as "Former user" in the application.
Online forums and learning are now in one easy-to-use experience.
