I want to integrate an app with JIRA and the docs are super confusing. Nowhere is it explained how to get a 'consumer key' on top pf all the other keys and secrets and password,

This makes it impossible to use JIRA without wasting days looking through contradictory docs for various versions of stuff from Atlassian

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

A "consumer key" is a term used by other software, Atlassian does not use that term.  You'll need to read the docs for the other software to try to work out what it means in Atlassian terms.

At a guess though, it would be an API token for remote access to the system.  See https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-api-tokens-for-your-atlassian-account/

This is categorically false and another example of Atlassian poor documentation. This is a screenshot from the Bamboo application. Notice the text "Consumer Key"? Bambooconsumerkey.jpgLast time I checked it was from Atlassian
