Why are attachments failing to upload?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
We are using Jira Cloud and all our users get the following error when trying to upload an attachment. It doesn't seem to be a missing permission issue because this started happening today. What could be the reason for such behaviour? Any idea, please?
P.S. - It is not a browser issue because this has been tried in different browsers.
