Workflow that doesn't link and cannot close

Lydia Rogers November 5, 2020

How do I raise a support ticket with JIRA?

We have created a status in the workflow which doesn't link to any other status so gets stuck when this status is used.

1) How can I remove it?

2) Those already set, can  I bulk change the status?

Thanks

You can edit the workflow to change this, but you have a bit of a problem.

The "draft" workflow editor has a long-standing flaw which stops you creating transitions from status that don't have already have one exit transition.  (Also, darft won't let you delete status)

Your best option therefore is to take a copy of that workflow - the copy will not be associated with any projects, and "draft" mode will not apply - you will be able to add transitions to the stuck status or delete it fine.  Once you've made the appropriate changes to it, go back into the workflow scheme and associate the new workflow, replacing the old one.  Jira will take you through a migration process if it needs to (if you remove the status, it will want to know what to migrate issues currently in it to a new status)
