Hello everyone.

I hope you are doing well today.

I have an issue, I am trying to block any user from moving a ticket from Resolved to Closed, I tried to find something like transition property but had no success.

The idea is to an automation close the issue after 25d and once it is on Closed no one can edit it.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi @Lucas de Souza ,

I believe your can set a "Hide from user" condition on the transition.

If i'm correct, an automation rule will still be able to execute the transition.

Please try it and let me know if this solves your case.

Best regards,

Kris

Hi @Lucas de Souza

Yes you can set workflow status and/or transition properties, but you request is contradicting then.

As you want to disable a transition by any user, but want automation to set it to closed after a certain period. Automation is also operated by a user, you or the default automation user.

The options you want to have it done based on a condition or validation, requires a marketplace app, like;

  • JMWE
  • JWT
  • JSU
  • Scriptrunner

Hello @Lucas de Souza ,

Can you post a screenshot of the property that you have added to your workflow.

Also this article: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Content-Archive-questions/Block-Workflow-Transition-for-Reporter/qaq-p/1997857 mentions installing a JWME app that will expand the possibilities of editing your workflow.

Let me know if this has helped.

BR,

Nikola
