Is there any way like ServiceNow in JIRA SM to insert incident details when there is an update on incident to a DB within JIRA, so that I can poll (retrieve) all the events periodically? I know Service Now provides this as custom tables but I could not find any thing in JIRA SM? Please share any insights.

Hi manoj,

A very warm welcome to the community!

I do not think this is directly possible, but I can think of some workarounds. Maybe have a dedicated Jira project and issue type for this and use custom fields there to store whatever you need - you can even use the issues themselves as a kind of DB (not sure of the exact use case). Considering this setup, you can then use an integration tool like Exalate to ensure that the data is kept in sync in real time.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
Majid

Hi @Manoj B

JSM not provide any tables that you can connect and get data. JSM has Rest API where you can get all data regarding tickets through it.

Seba
