issue with some licences and profiles on JSM

amandine.cervantes November 27, 2024

hello,

it happened several times we manage the accounts of our colleagues and sometimes nobody touched anything but it appears that some common users are admin in jsm and not only customers, which of course costs to the company.

can you help us with that subject please?

regards

Hi @amandine.cervantes

Check the User Access Settings on your cloud instance

See documentation, control-how-users-get-access-to-products

Check if on JSM the setting is user (agent), change this to customer, this will mean any new user will only be granted customer permissions and not agent.

Or if you want it to be user (agent), set the checkbox admin approval, then an admin 1st needs to approve the user gets a license or not.

I would opt for the 1st option..

Or if this is not the case, check the global permissions in JSM, are there default groups attached to certain global permissions?
