management reports on release progress

how can I configure management reports on release progress , ,and does this need a prior plug in installed in order for the reports to showcase ?

Are you trying to use JSM to conduct release progress tracking?  What is your definition of "release progress"?

If you are referring to software development, then JSM may not be the solution.  You will have to use Jira Software Management application.
