Any way to change Existing Custom field type "Select List" to Project Specific field type.

Is there a way to easily (and safely) 'convert' the Custom field type"Select List (single choice) to (Project Specific Select Field) 

I have Custom field called "Team" which is already mapped with N+ Projects and Screens.

Now i am trying to change this existing field type(Select List) to another field type called Project Specific Select Field type.

Any possibility to do without creating new custom field type in Script Runner plugin. Please suggest.

No.

You can't change field types.

Add a new field of the type you need, then migrate any data you need into it.

No.  The database change you'd need to make is to add a new field, migrate data and delete the old one.  

It would be faster, and safer, to add the new field of the type you need, then migrate any data you need into it in the UI

Could you please guide me to do with manual way.

I can create the new field type. All i need is to update the existing date values to new field which I am gonna to create.

Run a search for each value you have, then bulk-edit the issues returned.
