Hello,
we have JSD and want our customers to use the customer portal. For each customer we have two projects. One for general questions and support requests and the second one for orders. This seperation is important for our internal team.
The second project has only one request type but we do not want our customers to create requests in there. We want to create the tickets for them after they accepted our offer.
In the customer portal there are still both projects to click on, but they cannot do anything in the project with the orders. So the view of this project is needless at this point.
Is there a way to deactivate the link to the project but let the customers still have a look at the requests created in there?
Btw is it possible to change the dropdown of the requests button? The organization of the two projects is the same, so our dropdown shows "my requests", "organization" and "all requests", but in our case the last two ones are the same and therefore redundant.
Thanks you!
Hi @H K,
I'm from InTENSO. We are developing Extension for JSD. One feature in our app allows to set a visibility of request types for selected groups of users. I hope that it will be a good answer on your need. You can check out more in app's documentation.
Please get a 30-day trial from Marketplace. In case of any questions, don't hesitate to ask our support team :)
Best regards,
Katarzyna
Hi Heike,
If you want your customers to be able to see the requests that you have made for them in the second project, they HAVE to have access to the second project through the portal.
However, you can restrict their ability to create requests in the second project through the portal. To do that:
1) Go to Project Settings -> Request Types
2) Click on 'Edit groups' for the request type you want to hide
3) In the popped up window uncheck all groups. This will hide this request type from the portal
4) Repeat for other request types in this project if any
