Hi Community,

I need help in configuring a Jira Automation Rule where a Custom Daily Report (in Excel format) should be send out via email on daily bases.

What trigger, conditions, actions and necessary JQL query should be used to configure a proper Jira Automation Rule for the above?

Thank you

Hello @Digvijay Singh Gehlot

@Bill Sheboy is true. There is no built in automation rule to perform your requirement. However, there are rules that can be a close match to your ask.

These can send you issues using a filter or JQL at regular schedule in a tabular form using LookupIssues, smart values, etc.

Let me know if you would require assistance with this.

Hi @Digvijay Singh Gehlot

There are no built-in automation rule actions to do this.  A rule could send an email / message as text, or create a text Google document.

As an alternative, you could create a saved JQL filter and ask people to subscribe to it, allowing them to then download the results as a spreadsheet or as CSV.

And as a reminder, the Atlassian Community is a place for people with similar interests to collaborate, learn, and interact with one another.  It is not a free labor pool to build solutions on demand.  Successfully using automation rules requires learning and experimentation.  The community can help when what you have tried does not work as expected.  When you regularly need help with automation rules, I recommend discussing this with your Jira Site Admin for support.

Kind regards,
Bill
