On JIRA Service Desk, We would like to populate a particular value in a field based on the value selected in another field.
In this case, we would enter the customer name and it would automatically populate their associated customer type; VIP, Enterprise, Retail.
We are starting with cloud deployment for our proof of concept but will be moving to server once we have established that this will work for our Customer Support and Help Desk Operations.

Unfortunately, there's no feature in JIRA Cloud that allows setting field value based on another field. I believe this is possible only in JIRA Server using custom scripts.
