Knowledge base search not displayed in issue

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Serving customers with a knowledge base

setup:  JIRA Service Desk 3.1 (JIRA 7.1.4), Confluence 5.9.6, nginx reverse proxy.

The KB integration works for :

  • instant search on the portal : can see article, can vote, provide feedback.
  • create KB article from an issue : opens a new tab to Confluence, blank page with "relates to" already populated, cool.

BUT:

I cannot figure out how to reproduce the section "Related knowledge base articles" as illustrated in the documentation. All I get is a "Create KB article" in the top right corner. We are thus unable to suggest a KB article to a user whom might have misread or is simply lazy.

Have I missed anything during setup ?

"Related Knowledge Base" section not appearing for us either.

Has anyone found a resolution?

Same problem here. Cant see this section. Is it not available in earlier versions (running 3.0.4) right now?
