Manual Trigger Automation - Prompt Date Custom Field Input

Hello Atlassian Community,

I am trying to utilize the manual trigger automation to allow the user to input the custom date fields, however, there are no date field options from this list: 

I tried using text as date but that didn't translate well. Can someone confirm we're unable to have a date-picker for this type of trigger? Thank you!

Hi @Keiko Kamiya 

Correct: the date and date / time types are not supported for a Manual Trigger's user input options yet.  That is one of the suggested improvements to the trigger, which you may watch / vote for here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-744

As a workaround, please use a Short Text field, and later convert it with the toDate function:
