Not to trigger "Issue Updated" notification email, when only one specific field is updated.

We receive emails on "Issue Update" as it is in the default notification scheme .

When duedate filed is updated JIRA takes this as a Issue update and sends the notification. (Which is too normal.)

I want Jira NOT TO send emails only on if the "due date" field is updated.

Is this possible ?

I think this is possible using the Script Runner plugin. There you can configure a possible workaround, like create a new type of event where you can verify what field has been changed.

Maybe there are other better solutions that I'm not aware of, but check that plugin just in case.
