Can I be Admin in Jira, but not Service Desk or Confluence?
Asking because I don't necessarily need to be in Service Desk within an Admin capacity, but I am missing out on some needed Admin things in Jira. Is it possible or can I only be Admin across all platforms?
Hi,
Try to remove the jira-administrators group from service desk application access. You do not need application access to be an admin.
You can use a group like service desk-agents to grant application access and add only the three users that need the access.
Yes, you should be able to configure your groups so you can be an admin only in Jira and not confluence nor service desk.
Example:
This user is a Jira administrator, but not an admin for confluence
This user is a confluence admin, but no a Jira admin

Thanks for the details. When looking into this, it looks like if I'm an Admin for Jira, I have to be one for Jira Service Desk. We are trying to keep our bill to $30/month. There's 5 people on our team. The breakout of users on the app is as follows:
Right now, as an Admin on Jira, it's causing our breakout on Service Desk to become 4 users and our total bill jumps to $100/month
