Error when copy comments using automation for Jira between different instances

Patricia Vale February 9, 2022

Hi everyone,

Currently, we have an automatism of creating issues between SD and Jira with "Automation for Jira", and the issues are linked to each other as "reciprocal link" between instances after creation, manually.
We also wanted the option to copy the jira issue comment to the Service Desk issue during the work done on the issue
However, when we do the automatism below it gives us the error that the issues are not linked.

If we do this automatism and find "linked" issues within the same instance works well.
We have the instantiations linked by "Apllication Link".
Someone who has the same mistake or can help?

Unfortunately, Automation doesn't support remote links (links between instances) or copying between instances at the moment. The issue for remote link is being tracked at: https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-176

Hi @Patricia Vale - When you're working cross-project, you need to change the project scope in the rules detail section.  You want to either change to multiple project and manually select which projects are in scope or set to all projects.

Hi @Mark Segall ,

Thank you for your answer.
I experimented with the "rule details" restricted only to the projects as you spoke. But the same error still exists.

Does your rule Actor have the same permissions across each project?
