I did read several docu pages and also some discussions here in the online community. Still this topic confueses me. I don´t really get the difference / different use cases between "field configuration" and/or "screen".
One thing that even confuses me more (as often said these things do more or less the same) I cannot really "reduce"/make my screen/issue lightweight with the "screen" but only with the field configuration (eg. I don´t want to see "fix version" etc. in issues)
I exclueded all those fields from my screen but still see them in the view mode (see screenshots):
Could somebody please bring some light into the dark in my brain? 😂🙈

Hey @Stefan Salzl
Please take a look at the answer here in this post to understand better on screens and field configuration https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Fields-configuration-vs-Screen-scheme/qaq-p/579123
In your case, by default in Jira there are system fields like (Affect/s Version, Fix Versions, Labels) should be hidden via field configuration.
And custom fields created needs to added/removed from screen to appear or not visible on the screen.
Hope this helps !!
Let me know in case of queries
Hi @Vishwas
Thanks for your fast answer 🙌
That was exactly the reason for my question and also what I was guessing. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Best
