Hi! 👋

I have a custom field with a list of over 250 options, and I need to create several similar custom fields to use within the same Jira work item.

Is there an easy way (without using ScriptRunner or API) to:

  • Duplicate an existing custom field along with its options, or

  • Bulk add many options to a new custom field at once?

Manually entering 250+ dropdown values one by one sounds... like a form of punishment 😅

Any tips would be very appreciated!

Incase it helps OP, I tried this in data centre and it worked for me :). I'd suggest testing it with only a few items at first, or a temporary custom field so that you get the import settings right before loading them all in.

Hi, @Brita Moorus

To be short - out of the box it's not possible.
But there is very useful plugin, which can make required actions. You can trial it, and add required fields.

I tested it, works like a charm
