Integrating Jira projects with Service Desk

We're looking to integrate Jira Projects and Service Desk to manage some of our finance ops across a number of our projects. 

Here's our use case: 

  • Project templates are standardised. So the same project type copies the template. 
  • We'd like to create another swimlane or board with a label that represents a cost. Invoices and receipts would be attached to issues and assigned this label. 
  • We'd then like like these issues to appear in a specific cue on a Service Desk project which would enable an invoice or receipt to be processed whilst centralising ops for finance. 

We would create a queue in a finance specific service desk project for each department/project type. 

The reason we're looking at labels here is so that we can define the event that could be used to automate the integration. 

Can anyone guide on how to best setup the integration?

Hi Adam, 

I wouldn't suggest using labels as anyone can create a new label and this could result in missed issues or inaccurate reporting. Instead I would create a custom field to tag the issues or use components if not already using for something else.
