Adding a field which can be seen by a customer in the portal

Andrej Kavcic October 24, 2018

Hi All,

I want to add a custom field to a request after the request was created by a customer through portal and for that field to be seen by the customer.

On our current setup customer has a numerous custom fields to fill in, which can mandatory or optional, when he is creating the request. all those fields are seen in the Details when the request is viewed by the customer through the customer portal.

But when an service desk agent adds a new field to the request that field is not shown in the Details section on the portal.

The field is a custom field Text field (single line).

Is there a way to make this field visible to the customer as well?

Thanks,

Andrej

Hello,

As far as I know, this is not an option right now unfortunately. You can add a field when customer is creating the ticket as you said but you can't add a view only field. But I found a jira ticket related to this. You can upvote this here:

This is for cloud:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4328?_ga=2.143490359.385894691.1540193284-1917641714.1524651122

This is for server:
