Cannot move an issue from one JSM project to another one

Hello, 

I am a Jira Admin and have the permissions to move issues on both JSM projects. However the project I am trying to move the issue does not show up at the drop down. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi @Elif Alverson 

do you have the create issue permission on the destination project?
Do you use company or team managed projects?

@Kai Becker , I am a global admin so I have all the permissions. Both projects are company managed projects. Thank you.

@Elif Alverson being an admin does not necessarily grant all permissions.
Could you please post a screenshot of the permission scheme?

Just to add to @Kai Becker answer, make sure that you are also in the Service Desk Team role on both projects, that would give you the right permissions if you are using the default permission scheme.

It has a default permissions scheme. I added myself to the project role as an admin and it resolved the issue. But I am not in a project roles as an admin for other JSM projects and I can move issues to those. Any reason for that?

In the other project that you are not admin in, what role do you have in that project?

I am not assigned to any roles. It is exactly the same as the other project.

Okay, so I would check your People settings and who have been added to the Service Desk Team role and compare that between the two projects. It could be that in the project you are not assigned a role that there is a group that you belong to have been added to the Service Desk Team role.
