Custom Field listed as 'coming soon'... how long until it is available?

We are working to rollout Jira and Jira Service Desk in the next week and the recent changes are impacting our ability to document the finished product we are looking for.  I created a cascading select custom field and while it worked yesterday, today it shows on the issue layout as 'coming soon'.  Anybody know how long it will take for this to become available again?

Update from my end... the custom field I created does show in the 'Create Issue' form, but not in the 'Edit/View Issue' form.  Not sure if this helps, but wanted to provide that info.  Any assistance on how to get this field back where i had it is appreciated.

Thank you very much for your detailed responses.

Investigating your issue a little bit further, I identified that our development team is currently working to add the cascading list custom field to the new issue view, where the layout page is applied instead of the project's screens.

Although it was not added yet to the roadmap page, we have a feature request opened to track their progress on this:

Custom fields created using the select List (cascading) Field type not visible

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates, although it does not have an official deployment date.

To keep using the cascading field, you can switch back to the old view.

Hello Matthew,

Welcome to Atlassian community.

Actually, the Cascade list is available on all JIRA projects except for Next-gen, since it is still in Beta development and have not been fully implemented.

If you would like to use cascade fields in your Classic JIRA projects, you can navigate to your project > Project settings > Screens add the cascading list to the create/view/edit screens of your project.

For the next-gen projects, we don't have a final date to get it implemented, however, you can check on the Next-gen Roadmap to know all the next features that will be implemented:

How can I tell if my project is a Next Gen project?  As far as I recall, I created it as a classic project, not Next Gen.  Also, I saw the custom cascading field on my screens in the project on Tuesday, but then on Wednesday is when the new screen layout was pushed and I no longer see it.  When I go to my issue layout, i see my custom field listed, but with a 'coming soon' label.  See below..issue layout field list.PNG
