Delete WF & Screens

Hi,

My Jira SD early days... so bear with me :)

On a quest to try out different project templates I created a few.... facilites, IT etc...

Now i'm in process of implemeting the one I actually need but I'm not able clear / delete other WF's, Issues etc..

It looks like a cascading delete is required... anyone has any idea how this can be achived?

For e.g. On my "Issue Type Screen Schemes" (TAB)

I can see multiple schemes but couple of them are part of projects that I have already deleted so don't know to get rid of em

Thanks for help / ref link

Thanks

Swat

I am sorry, but no, there is no function for this (yet)

You have to work through it manually, but there is some help - in a lot of the admin sections, Jira does at least group things into "active" and "inactive".  To do the housekeeping, we admins can at least go into those lists, expand the "inactive" section and then click through the "delete" links listed in the inactive section.

If a scheme is "active", it means it is still associated with one or more projects, so it is still in use.  If you really want rid of a scheme, you'll need to change the projects using it so that they use a different scheme.  Jira will walk you through migration if any is needed and then move disassociated schemes into the "inactive" area where you can then get rid of them.

Thanks @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I'm finding my feet with JIRA :)

There are few things difficult to digest

like if the project is deleted then JIRA service desk should clean up the associated wf, screen etc... but that's not the case... I got caught in this trap and now I'm spending my time in cleaning things :(

They can't delete the configurations, as they may have been used by other projects, and you might want them for audit purposes too.
