So right now my team has made it very clear that they want email notifications to be sent out to everyone on the team when a new issue is created (it's still a very small team that is ramping up) but so far I have had no success yet in figuring out a way to get this to happen.
Specifically whenever an issue is created they want to be notified. Whether this is a client through the customer service portal or internally created.
I've tried modifying the notifications here but to no success. I literally even specified each and every single user individually and it's still not triggered.
Another thing I tried was to set up some sort of automation for this... But unfortunately there was no option to send it to my team when there is a new issue created...
Any advice on how to set this up would be EXTREMELY appreciated!
Best regards,
Cole Evans :)
Hi @cole_evans,
Is the default notification scheme the one used in your project? What about current assignee does he/she get notified?
Also what are the permissions in your project?
Best
Thanks! I think it was actually the default notification scheme not being used in the project, which was fixed when I changed it back to the default I modified above! It surprised me as I didn't recall I did any notifications config changes!
I do have a silly question though, what is the best path to try and get to all of the other notification schemes in the config? I was able to do this through a side configuration on the default notification configuration screen I captured in the screenshot above, where I modified the scheme being used to the default. But I wasn't able to find the other notification schemes configuration location.

@cole_evansif you are the application admin click on:
cog -> Issues -> Notification Schemes
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, I have been in the field for couple years and I am learning a lot from other users questions 🙂

Aha! I see that's how this works. Thank you so much! This is a great help, I find I am terrible at navigating all of the different screens haha.
Greatly appreciate all of the help ^_^!

@cole_evanstry to read the Atlassian Documentation, it is very useful and of course don't hesitate to ask here. We have so many skilled champions who will be more than happy to help
