Limit character length on text fields

Hi,

I'm using Jira Service desk cloud.

I'm looking for a way to limit character length on textbox. Is there a way?

Also is it possible to limit it only number or certain expressions?

I have refered these questions but no use since I'm on cloud

@S you can set a range of text field validation requirements in ProForma (or the free version ProForma Lite) including:

• Character / Word minimum and maximum values
• Response required
• Regex pattern matching

There is an instant demo if you want to give it a go. Full disclosure I'm the PM for ProForma, so to keep things balanced I'll point out that you can achieve a similar result with Extension for JSD.

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

No, you cannot limit the text fields in Jira Cloud. You can create custom fields that will only except numbers and the closest you can get to limit to certain expressions would be to create a custom select field that the user can choose from instead of using a text field.
