Hello,
I need help because I do not know how to set default value of asset object custom field.
I have such a custom field called "IT-Object" and I need it to be with default value "No object found" instead of just empty.
I found nothing helpful in Assets object/s field configuration.
I guessed it could be done in Automation with action 'Edit issue fields'. But there for such a field I should give a syntax, SET, where example is 'Name LIKE "John Smith"'.
I tried, I crawled through documentation but error messages after failed syntax validation are laconic and not useful. I do not know what am I doing wrong and what I need to make syntax work.
It should just set value of IT-Object to "No object found", which is an Object in Assets.
According to hint in the field it should be like 'Name LIKE "No object found"'.
I am looking forward for help,
Kind Regards.
Paweł
Hey Pawel,
I've had exactly the same issue for a couple of days now and just managed to fix that. For me (Datacenter, 9/5.4.15) it helped to make the field context global (all projects + all issues) and to remove the AQL Filter/Issue/Assign scope. Then I picked the default value (the list was finally shown).
After picking the default value, I again added the AQL Filter/Issue/Assign scope and project/issue context. And the default value is still there :)
I hope it helped
Jakub
