Tempo and filter by customer

I have a service desk project with a couple test issues. I have a couple test "customers". One I created through our portal. Another that has issues is the "Example Customer (example@atlassian-demo.invalid)".

When I try to view a timesheet in tempo and filter by customer, I get "no customers found".

A google search for jira tempo "no customers found" turns up zero hits. Google wants to remove the quotes to find anything.

I can't be the only person that has overlooked whatever I have overlooked. I am still new to this and have no clue where to look next.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Lonn

Hello @Lonn James Holiday

I think you misunderstood the term customer in tempo.

The customer in tempo is used to bound multiple accounts to one customer.

When loging work on issue you can add account to issue, then the issue worklog will connect with account. If you want to view worklog for one user, you need to select reports -> custom -> and then filter by User then you will see worklogs by user.

Also people need to have jira software licence's to log work

Thanks, Olga,

This is useful information but it does not answer my question.

I have customers in the customers screen.

In the tempo report dialog/pulldown, there is a customers option. It shows "no customers found".

The question is, why do my configured customers not show up in the customers field?
