Hello,
For our clients we sometimes need to send them documents which are not safe to send over regular email. We use a secure file transfer site when we work outside JIRA system.
Is there any integrated solution within Jira that I can use to send files to client directly through the ticket they created?
-Thanks,
Priyendu
@Priyendu Bhardwaj If you are using Atlassian Confluence integrated as a Knowledge base with your JIRA Service Desk, then you can maintain those secure documents in Confluence, and share them as links or attachments with the customers in JIRA Service Desk tickets. Confluence will also give you more control regarding which users/customers are allowed to view the pages you share, via Confluence permissions.
Moreover, configuring your JIRA Service Desk and Confluence applicatiosn to run over over SSL (HTTPS) will provide you more security in this regards.
Thanks Taranjeet!
We do not have Confluence integrated yet, we are still setting ourselves up on the system and confluence may be a solution going forward.
We send a lot of personalized statements or reports and hosting all those on confluence would interesting implementation, could host the documents for couple of days and take them down in order to save the space and keep the workspace organized.
For my service desk agents it would be nice if they could deliver updates in an encrypted message through the ticket with the attachments, I guess that is not yet possible.

@Priyendu Bhardwaj I understand the security concerns for an organization. If your JIRA Service Desk is up and running as per your needs, you can use some add-on like the below to share the attachments in a secure manner via Customer Portal with your customers.

See if this helps !

@Priyendu Bhardwaj I would appreciate it if you could upvote my answer or mark it as acceptable solution, if it was helpful and kind of resolved your query .

We are an Atlassian Solution Partner and had a lot of customers with this same request. They asked for service desk agent & user encrypted file sharing capabilities. We were also asked to support the attachment & encryption of files right from the Jira Service Desk customer portal request screen.
We recently released an update to our add-on "Team Secrets" which includes all of this functionality.
Please take a look and let us know what you think!
