URGENT - Building Staging environment

New to Atlassian hosting and would like to develop cloud staging environment.

Would we need to purchase specific allocated space as we would have duplicate instances of the applications.

It depends on what you're doing. If you're building out Atlassian Connect add ons you can get development instances. Otherwise yes, you'd have to purchase a separate license.
